CEO Planning WeekendOver the years, Joy has come to love having a CEO weekend. This is something that has developed over time, but is now so important in her business. During her CEO weekend, she’s planning and goal setting, but there is a lot that goes into preparing for this weekend.
If you’re running a business, you’re wearing a lot of hats, which means that you have a lot of responsibilities outside of goal setting. This means that goals are often on of the last things that you need to do in your CEO weekend. Why? Because so much of what you beed to do before the goal setting will inform those goals.
Tips for Your CEO Planning Weekend Set aside some serious dedicated time for your CEO Planning. Joy personally prefers a weekend of dedicated time away from her office, but it can even be short spurts of time over a few days. Before you go, gather the materials that you need like a profit and loss statement, goals from the year, survey data, and marketing metrics. Make an agenda of your planning time so you go in with a timeline of what your CEO planning time will look like. Three Phases of Your CEO Planning WeekendWhen it comes time to actually have your CEO Planning Day or Weekend, here are a few phases to consider during that time.
Review Phase Celebration Phase Goal Setting PhaseTip: If you are considering doing a CEO Planning Weekend with a friend, make sure you consider how you two work together and if you’ll get work done!
